1) The Math: Run the numbers! Check the real price of the promotion or discount. Does giving away $5000 in worth at $2500 even cover your costs? What about your profit margin? “Cash back” or not….do the math.
2) The Exposure: Know that statistics show that your business isn’t being remembered for the great deal that you are giving away. The organization issuing the certificate is getting all the name or brand recognition for your offer.
